Welcome to the Steinerne Stiege hiking route!
Located in a picturesque area, this circular route offers a challenging but rewarding experience for hikers. With a total distance of 12.589 kilometers and an elevation gain of 863 meters, this trail is classified as extremely difficult. Make sure to prepare accordingly and pack plenty of water, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the Grünsee, a serene water body located 1.16 kilometers from the trail. This tranquil spot is perfect for a quick break before continuing on your adventure. Along the way, you'll also find various information points, benches, and even a restaurant called Paletti for a hearty meal.
Midway through the hike, you'll encounter a refreshing spring located 3.79 kilometers from the start. Take a moment to replenish your water supply and recharge before tackling the rest of the trail. Additionally, be sure to check out the Gasthaus Grünsee an der Mittelstation at 1.59 kilometers from the start for some local cuisine.
As you near the end of the route, don't miss the stunning waterfall situated 6.24 kilometers from the start. It's a perfect spot to capture some memorable photos and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Finish your hike strong and be greeted by the Info-Ausstellung "BahnStrom" near the trailhead.
