This challenging circular hiking route will take you to the majestic Schafkögel peak, offering spectacular views and opportunities to rest and refuel along the way.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your ascent towards the peak. After approximately 3.65 kilometers, you will reach Berggasthof Höss, a cozy restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing your journey.

As you trek further, at around 4.95 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the Schafkögel viewpoint, providing a stunning vantage point to take in the surrounding scenery.

Along the trail, you will also come across Schutzhütte Edtbauernalm, a mountain hut where you can enjoy a rest and perhaps a warm beverage.

Climbing onwards, at the 4.95 kilometer mark, you will reach another viewpoint at Schafkögel peak, offering panoramic vistas of the area.

Throughout the hike, you will find several benches where you can pause to catch your breath and admire the views. Remember to bring an adequate supply of water and snacks, as well as appropriate hiking gear for this challenging terrain.
