This extremely difficult hiking route takes you along the Strada statale 26 della Valle d'Aosta in a 16.032-kilometer out-and-back journey with an elevation gain of 867 meters. The trail offers challenging terrain and stunning views of the surrounding area.
Starting at the designated trailhead, hikers will pass by a parking area at 0.4 kilometers from the start and another parking spot right at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across La Suche de Chantamont, a restaurant located 5.31 kilometers from the starting point. You can refuel and rest here before continuing your hike.
Around 8.02 kilometers into the hike, there are two water sources available for hydration. Camping Rutor, a campsite perfect for an overnight stay, is located 0.41 kilometers from the start of the trail. Additionally, there are restaurants and a picnic site along the route for hikers to take a break and enjoy a meal or snack.
It's essential to bring an ample water supply, snacks, and proper hiking gear for this challenging journey.
