Welcome to the Peñarroya hiking route!
Located in a beautiful natural area, this challenging route covers a distance of 9.513 kilometers with an elevation gain of 335 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the parking area for the Valdelinares ski station, which is a convenient starting point. Further ahead, you'll find a picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy some snacks. If you're in need of a meal, there is a restaurant nearby as well.
During the hike, you'll encounter the La Chaparrilla shelter, providing a resting spot along the trail. Make sure to stay hydrated as there are water sources available, including the Fuente de La Chaparrilla spring and another spring located midway through the route.
As you approach the endpoint, you'll reach the Peñarroya peak, offering a stunning viewpoint of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to soak in the breathtaking views before heading back the way you came.
