This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Aralar, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The total distance of the hike is 10.629 kilometers with an elevation gain of 181 meters, making it a difficult trail that will take approximately 2 hours and 54 minutes to complete.
Starting at Guardaetxeko aparkalekua, the trailhead is easily accessible with parking available nearby. As you begin your journey, you will come across Dolmen Aubia 1 iparralde, an archaeological site just 0.56 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail, at 1.72 kilometers, you will find Dolmen Otsotesare 1 ekialde, another interesting historical site.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 5.31 kilometers, you will reach Aralarko adiskideak (Borda), an alpine hut where you can take a rest and soak in the beautiful surroundings. Nearby, at the same distance, you will also find Igaratza Iturria for a refreshing break with drinking water available.
As you continue on the trail, keep an eye out for Errenaga Txiki and Errenaga, two natural peaks that offer breathtaking panoramic views of the area. The trail will also lead you to Refugio de Guardetxea, a refuge for hikers to rest and refuel.
