This hiking route follows the Kayak Trail, offering a moderate difficulty level with a distance of 6.532 kilometers and an elevation gain of 33 meters. The estimated duration for the hike is 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Starting at the parking area located at the beginning of the trail, hikers will pass by several water features along the way. At 1.38 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a water source conveniently close to the trail. Further along, at the 2.03 kilometer mark, there is another water spot, but it's slightly off the trail.
As you continue on, you'll encounter more water features at varying distances from the trail. Make sure to bring enough water with you, as some of these spots may not be easily accessible. At the 3.27 kilometer mark, there is a water source that is situated right along the trail.
A highlight of this route is the Brandywine Falls viewpoint at the halfway point (0.5 kilometers). From there, you can enjoy stunning views of the area. Additionally, at the 0.39 kilometer mark, you'll find Brandywine Falls, a beautiful waterfall for you to admire.
For those interested in learning more about the area, there are informational signs scattered throughout the hike. Some points of interest include "A ring of fire" and "Canyon cutting waterfall," located at 0.5 and 0.43 kilometers respectively.
