This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Äußere Alpila. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 5.982 kilometers and an elevation gain of 509 meters, making it difficult but rewarding.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail, ensuring a convenient start to your outdoor adventure. Along the way, about 1.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Henslerstüble restaurant, perfect for a pit stop to refuel and relax before continuing on.

Continuing on the trail, at around 2.99 kilometers, you will reach the historic wayside cross, adding a touch of cultural significance to your journey. Additionally, at 2.99 kilometers, you will find the Äußere Alpila alpine hut, providing a cozy accommodation option for those looking to extend their hike overnight.
