Located in the stunning Formazza Valley, the hiking route to Casera della Dighetta is a challenging but rewarding adventure for outdoor enthusiasts. Covering a distance of 9.791 kilometers and with an elevation gain of 634 meters, this hike offers breathtaking views and unique points of interest along the way.
As you begin your journey, you will come across convenient parking areas to leave your vehicle before setting off on foot. Remember to bring plenty of water and snacks as the trail progresses. Around the 3.37 kilometer mark, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall known as Cascata, a perfect spot to take a break and admire the natural beauty of the area.
Continuing onwards, at approximately 4.9 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a peak with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This vantage point is a great opportunity to capture some stunning photos and appreciate the rugged beauty of the Formazza Valley.
Further along the trail, at the 4.24 kilometer mark, you will encounter another picturesque waterfall known as Cascata del Vannino, adding to the enchantment of the hike. Additionally, there are information points along the trail providing insights into the local history and geography of the area.
As you make your way back, take a moment to visit the viewpoint at 3.57 kilometers, offering a final glimpse of the valley before reaching the starting point. Don't forget to refill your water bottle at the drinking water stations located at various points along the trail.
