The Route de Sombernon is a 6.367-kilometer circular hiking route that offers a moderate level of difficulty with an elevation gain of 206 meters. The trail takes approximately 2 hours to complete, providing hikers with a varied and scenic experience.

Starting at the beginning of the trail, hikers will come across a shelter just 0.1 kilometers in, offering a place to rest or seek refuge if needed. Continuing along the path, there is a parking area conveniently located right at the start of the route.

As you venture further along the trail, about 0.68 kilometers from the starting point, you'll find the entrance to the Grotte de Roche-Chèvre cave, although it is not directly on the trail. This natural wonder is worth a visit if you have the time and inclination to explore off the beaten path.

Around the 3.02-kilometer mark, hikers will encounter a spring and the Roche Beudon rock formation, both located off the main trail but worth a visit for those interested in natural landmarks. Additionally, there is a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape.
