This hiking route takes you through a challenging and extremely difficult 17.019-kilometer trail to Tom an t-Suidhe Mhòir. The trail has an elevation gain of 321.0 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 44 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey along the trail. Along the way, you will come across various points of interest. The ruins, located at 7.19 kilometers from the start, offer a glimpse into the area's historic past. Further along, at 7.09 kilometers, you will encounter more ruins, adding to the historical charm of the hike.
As you continue, you will pass by a natural water feature located at the halfway point, 2.08 kilometers from the start. This offers a refreshing sight and a chance to replenish your water supply. Another water feature, closer to the start at 0.0 kilometers, provides a serene spot to rest and take in the surroundings.
Reaching the peak of Tom an t-Suidhe Mhòir at 8.51 kilometers from the start, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding area. The viewpoint known as The Still, located at the start of the trail, offers another vantage point to admire the landscape.
