Located in a picturesque area, the hiking route to Calzada romana offers a delightful outdoor experience. With a total distance of 2.027 kilometers and an elevation gain of 72 meters, this easy-rated trail can be completed in approximately 38 minutes.

Starting off, you will find a convenient parking area right at the trailhead. As you make your way along the path, you will come across the charming Parador Rural El Saúco restaurant, which is situated at a distance of 0.9 kilometers from the start point, making it a great spot for a break or a post-hike meal.

Continuing on, at around 1.01 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. This makes for a perfect place to capture some memorable photos or simply soak in the beauty of the area.

Further along the trail, at a distance of 0.76 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the remains of the Castillo (castle), adding a touch of history and cultural significance to your hike. Additionally, at 0.9 kilometers from the trailhead, a drinking water station is available to help you stay hydrated throughout your journey.

As this route is an out-and-back type, you will retrace your steps on the way back, allowing you to enjoy the POIs once again from a different perspective.
