This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of per Cimalmotto. The 14.973-kilometer trail features a challenging elevation gain of 950 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers looking for a strenuous adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to bring plenty of water as the route will lead you to various points of interest. Approximately 6.44 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the serene Lago Sfille, a picturesque water feature where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the scenery.
Continuing on, at around 7.49 kilometers, you will find another water source for refilling your supplies. Along the way, you may also pass by Camping Munt la Reita, a designated campsite located 1.34 kilometers from the trail. It's a good spot to take a break and maybe even spend the night if you plan on camping.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, you'll discover a wayside shrine at 3.34 kilometers in. This historic site offers a glimpse into the area's cultural heritage. Additionally, around 1.52 kilometers from the start, there is an information point where you can learn more about the surroundings and the trail ahead.
Towards the latter part of the route, at 7.45 kilometers, you may have the opportunity to explore Cima del Lago, a peak located off the trail. While it may require a detour, the stunning views from the summit are sure to be worth the extra effort. Finally, at 0.15 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water station to refill your bottle before heading back.
