This extremely difficult 15.018-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Lago di Forgnone. The trail has an elevation gain of 952.0 meters and is estimated to take around 5 hours and 51 minutes to complete.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the Cappella delle Scale, a historic wayside shrine located 1.6 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the route, at around 7.45 kilometers from the start, you will reach Passo di Larecchio, a natural saddle offering beautiful views of the surrounding area.

As you continue on, you will pass by a drinking water point located 0.2 kilometers from the trail, where you can refill your water bottles. Along the way, you will also encounter Lago di Forgnone, a picturesque natural water feature located 7.51 kilometers from the start of the trail.

Due to the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is recommended to bring an ample water supply, snacks, proper hiking gear, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
