This extremely difficult 22.147-kilometer circular hiking route in the Gamslauer Spitze area offers a challenging adventure for experienced hikers. The trail begins at the parking area, where hikers can start their ascent towards the peak of Glungezer.
Midway through the hike, at around 7.63 kilometers from the start, hikers will come across the picturesque Tulfein Jöchl saddle, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding alpine landscape. As you continue your journey, at 7.87 kilometers, you will find a refreshing water source, perfect for refilling your supplies.
At about 9.37 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Glungezerhütte alpine hut, a cozy retreat where you can take a break and enjoy some local hospitality. Just a bit further, at 9.53 kilometers, the rugged peak of Glungezer awaits, offering a thrilling summit experience.
As you make your way back, you will encounter the historic Glungezer Gipfelkreuz wayside cross at 9.37 kilometers, adding a cultural element to your adventure. Finally, at 10.76 kilometers, the Gamslauer Spitze peak stands tall, providing a fitting finale to your challenging hike.
