This challenging out-and-back hiking route at Grange Serra covers a distance of 11.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 459 meters. The total duration of the hike is estimated to be around 3 hours and 54 minutes.
Starting at Grange Serra, hikers will pass by several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, there are parking facilities available for those arriving by car. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across a water source at around 5.95 kilometers from the start, allowing you to refill your water bottles.
Around the 5.46-kilometer mark, you'll reach Basse di Narbona, a saddle point offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, at approximately 2.76 kilometers from the start, you'll find Monte Crosetta, a peak that provides panoramic vistas (not directly on the trail).
Further ahead, at 0.75 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Madonna monument and at 0.16 kilometers, a viewpoint known as Punto panoramico. Information points with valuable insights about the area can be found at various locations throughout the hike.
For additional information and a brief rest, the Rifugio Maraman alpine hut is located 0.3 kilometers from the trail. The hut offers accommodation for trekkers looking to extend their stay in the area.
