This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Via Crucis. The total distance of the hike is approximately 3.06 kilometers with an elevation gain of 526 meters, making it a difficult trek that will take around 2 hours to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across some points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, you will find the Piazza della Libertà parking area, followed by the San Dionigi wayside shrine around 0.26 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail at around 0.45 kilometers, you will encounter the Capitello di Sant'Orso shrine.
Midway through your hike at 1.53 kilometers, you will reach a viewpoint for some breathtaking scenery. There is also the Casetta dell'acqua drinking water facility located nearby for a quick refreshment. As you make your way back, you can stop at Dall'Antonia bar or Bar Centrale for a snack or drink.
