This hiking route in the Urdanatz area offers a challenging and extremely difficult adventure for experienced hikers. The 17.634-kilometer long trail has an elevation gain of 589 meters and is expected to take about 5 hours and 33 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to park their vehicles. Moving along, at 0.15 kilometers from the start, you will find Lantzeko Ostatua, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before or after your hike.
As you continue further, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. Midway through the trail at 4.72 kilometers, you will find the Dolmen Gereziain archaeological site, offering a glimpse into the region's historic past. At a distance of 7.67 kilometers from the start, you will reach Karatongo lepoa, a saddle point providing a picturesque view of the surroundings.
Further ahead, at 8.25 kilometers, you will come across Gurbaitz peak, followed by Urdanatz peak at 8.57 kilometers. These peaks offer a challenging yet rewarding ascent for hikers. Additionally, Ikaztiko lepoa saddle at 3.63 kilometers provides a brief respite for hikers before continuing their journey.
Before concluding your hike, at 1.69 kilometers from the start, you will find Urkixuko Gaina peak, offering panoramic views of the area. Lastly, at 0.44 kilometers, Legarburu peak marks the end of your hiking adventure.
