This hiking route takes you through a challenging terrain in the beautiful area of Era del Trance. With a total distance of 16.973 kilometers and an elevation gain of 914 meters, this route is classified as extremely difficult, suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the Era del Trance trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you make your way through the rugged terrain, you will come across the Cerrillo del Almirez peak, located approximately 4.74 kilometers from the starting point. This peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Around 8.49 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter La Gaseosa, a drinking water stop where you can refill your water supply. Additionally, the Era del Trance viewpoint, also located at the same distance, provides a perfect spot to take a break and admire the scenic beauty of the area.
As you continue on the trail, approximately 2.57 kilometers from the start, you will find a fountain for another opportunity to rest and hydrate. The trail also takes you to Cerro de la Herrería peak, which is situated 5.19 kilometers away from the starting point.
It is important to note that this route is an out-and-back trail, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back. Make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking gear.
