This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful Lac de Cerise area in the Mercantour National Park. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.289 kilometers and an elevation gain of 733 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 31 minutes to complete.

As you start your hike, you'll pass by the picturesque Lac du Boréon, located just 0.28 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This serene lake is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Continuing on the trail, you'll come across the Gite d'Étape du Boréon, an alpine hut located 0.39 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and recharge before continuing your journey.

Midway through the hike, you'll reach the charming Lac de Cerise, located 3.64 kilometers from the starting point. This stunning lake offers breathtaking views and a great place to relax and have a picnic before heading back.
