This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and moderate difficulty. The total distance of the hike is 3.422 kilometers with an elevation gain of 481 meters, taking approximately 2 hours to complete.

Starting at the parking area, you will follow the trail that leads you towards the Tour de Famelon peak. Along the way, at the beginning of the trail, you will find the Chalet-Restaurant des Fers where you can stop for a meal or a rest. Further along the trail, you will come across the Crête du Fer viewpoint with informative signage to learn more about the area.

As you continue on, about halfway through the hike, you will reach a point where you can see the Tour de Famelon peak in the distance. This is a great spot to take some photos and enjoy the surrounding nature.

It is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this hike. The trail is well-marked, but proper hiking shoes and attire are advised due to the moderate difficulty of the terrain.

Once you reach the Tour de Famelon peak, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the area. Take your time to soak in the scenery before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
