This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area around Monte Sant'Angelo. The trail is 10.262 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 588 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area just 0.02 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off. Further along the trail, at 0.22 kilometers in, you will find a fountain where you can refill your water supply.
As you continue on, you will reach a peak known as Monte Sant'Angelo at the 5.13-kilometer mark. This is a great spot to take in panoramic views of the surrounding area. Nearby, at 4.61 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Caserma Forestale, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a snack.
At the same distance from the start, 5.13 kilometers, you will find the ruins of Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo in Stella, a historic site that offers a glimpse into the past. Just a short distance away, also at the 5.13-kilometer mark, you will see the Monumento ai Caduti - Carbonara, a monument dedicated to fallen soldiers.
