This extremely difficult circular hiking route takes you through the picturesque area of Clots del Cap de l'Estany. The trail covers a distance of 13.554 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1015 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding trek for experienced hikers.

Starting off at the parking area near Cirque de Gérac, you will first pass by Étang de la Piède, a beautiful pond located just 1.36 kilometers from the trailhead. As you continue, you will come across several water sources like streams and small ponds that offer a refreshing break along the way.

Midway through the hike, approximately 4.81 kilometers from the start, you will reach Port de Colatx, a scenic saddle point that provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks. From here, you can see Pointe de la Hillette and Pic de Coulatch (Couillac), two prominent peaks that add to the beauty of the landscape.

As you approach the latter part of the trail, you will encounter various peaks such as Turguilla, each offering a different perspective of the rugged terrain. Additionally, there are shelter facilities like Orri and others available at strategic points for resting and taking in the breathtaking scenery.

It is essential to bring an ample water supply, as the trail can be demanding, especially with its duration of approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes. Checking the weather forecast before setting out is also advisable to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
