Welcome to the hiking route to Pic de Séron! This challenging out-and-back trail spans approximately 7.3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 700 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek for outdoor enthusiasts.
Located in a breathtaking natural setting, the trail begins at Cirque de Gérac, where you can park your vehicle before embarking on your journey. Along the way, you'll encounter several points of interest such as Étang d'Aubé, a beautiful water feature located 2.3 kilometers from the start of the trail. Be sure to take in the picturesque views and snap some photos of this tranquil spot.
As you continue on, you'll pass by additional water features including other ponds and streams. Keep an eye out for Col de Cerda, a natural saddle located 0.59 kilometers from the start of the trail. This unique geological formation offers a great opportunity to rest and take in the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach a shelter called Orri, where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on to your final destination, Pic de Séron. This peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area and is definitely worth the effort to reach.
