This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful natural scenery near Port de Lers. The trail is 8.182 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 293 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting off at the trailhead, you'll pass by 'Port de Lers', a saddle known for its stunning views. As you continue on, you'll reach 'l'Estagnon', a water feature perfect for a rest stop about 1.9 kilometers from the start. Be sure to bring plenty of water with you, as this hike can be strenuous.
About midway through the hike, you'll come across the 'Col de Rose', another saddle offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding area. As you approach the 4 kilometer mark, you'll encounter two peaks, 'Touron de Lardas' and another unnamed peak, both providing a scenic backdrop for a well-deserved break.
Along the trail, you'll also pass by 'Stèle hommage à Jean Piquemal', a historic memorial located just 10 meters from the trail.
As you reach the end of the trail, be sure to check out the 'Source' spring for a refreshing drink of water before heading back.
