Starting at the Tourengeher-Parkplatz in the municipality of Alpbach, hikers will find a parking area to leave their vehicles before embarking on the journey. As you begin your trek, you will come across the Farmkehralm restaurant around 3.55 kilometers into the hike, where you can take a break and refuel.

Midway through the route, you will reach the peak of Gamskopf at 6.62 kilometers, providing stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape. Continuing on, you will encounter the Krinnjoch saddle at 5.93 kilometers, another noteworthy point along the trail.

Throughout the hike, there are various facilities available to hikers, such as shelters and drinking water stations. It is advisable to bring an adequate water supply, especially for this challenging terrain.
