This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Étangs de Fontargenta. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 6.494 kilometers and an elevation gain of 430 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Plat des Peyres, which is a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike. About 0.07 kilometers from the start, you will come across Cabane du Pla de las Peyres, a wilderness hut where you can take a rest or spend the night. This hut is not guarded, so make sure to bring your own supplies if you plan to stay.
Approximately 1.22 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point located at Pla de las Peyres, where you can learn more about the surrounding area. Further along the trail, at around 3.15 kilometers from the start, there is a water source available.
Halfway through the hike, at the 3.25-kilometer mark, you will reach Étangs de Fontargenta, a picturesque spot where you can enjoy the views and relax before heading back. If you need to refill your water supply, there is another water source located nearby, just 12.7 meters from the trail.
