This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Étangs de Fontargente, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience. With a total distance of 7.71 kilometers and an elevation gain of 430 meters, this route is classified as difficult.
Starting your journey at Plat des Peyres, you will find parking facilities conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, you will come across various points of interest along the route.
Around 0.07 kilometers in, you will encounter Cabane du Pla de las Peyres, a wilderness hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Moving forward, at about 1.22 kilometers, you will find an information point at Pla de las Peyres, providing insights into the area's history and geography.
Continuing on, midway through the hike at approximately 3.37 kilometers, you will find Étangs de Fontargente, a beautiful water feature that offers a serene spot to take in the scenery. Further along at 3.73 kilometers, there is another water feature of the same name, Étangs de Fontargente, providing a picturesque setting for a break.
