This challenging 10-kilometer circular hike in Flauschberg offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the Flauschberg destination, hikers will first pass by Zirnbergalm, a restaurant located right at the beginning of the trail. This is a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat or a drink before heading out on the hike.
As you continue on the trail, you'll come across various water sources such as natural springs located 2.01 kilometers and 2.66 kilometers from the start. It's a good idea to refill your water bottles here to stay hydrated throughout the journey.
Around the midway point of the hike, you'll encounter parking areas where you can leave your car if driving to the trailhead. Keep in mind that there may be a fee for parking at some of these locations.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the peaks of Hinterer Adlerkopf, Mittlerer Adlerkopf, and Vorderer Adlerkopf, located 4.14 kilometers, 4 kilometers, and 3.89 kilometers from the start, respectively. These vantage points offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Additionally, there are viewpoints, benches, and information boards along the trail to provide hikers with more insights into the area's flora, fauna, and history.
Before embarking on this hike, make sure to check the weather forecast and bring plenty of water and snacks. The duration of the hike is approximately 3 hours and 49 minutes, so plan accordingly. Be prepared for a steep elevation gain of 606 meters, making this a difficult but rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
