This challenging circular hiking route in the Muckklause area covers a distance of 9.794 kilometers with an elevation gain of 368 meters, taking approximately 3 hours and 11 minutes to complete.
Starting at the Nattersberg Parking Lot, hikers will embark on a scenic journey through the breathtaking landscape, with various points of interest along the way.
At approximately 3.88 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the Winkelmossalm / Klammweg, a beautiful wooded area perfect for a rest or a picnic. Continuing on, at about 4.71 kilometers, there is a natural water source where you can refill your water bottles.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 4.23 kilometers, you'll find the Berggasthaus Almstüberl and the Alpengasthof Winklmoosalm, offering refreshments and a chance to refuel before heading to the Winklmoosalm wilderness hut at 4.13 kilometers.
