This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning Ahornspitze peak, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain along the way. The trail covers a distance of 17.604 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1797 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous trek that will take approximately 8 hours and 34 minutes to complete.

Starting your journey at the trailhead, you will come across the Gasthof Wasserfall restaurant right at the beginning of the route, where you can grab a bite to eat or refuel before embarking on your adventure. As you continue onwards, you will pass by the Filznalm and Filzenstadl restaurants, offering opportunities to rest and replenish along the way.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Edelhütte alpine hut, providing a cozy accommodation option for those looking to extend their trek over multiple days. Further along the trail, you will encounter the Ahornspitze peak itself, standing tall at 2973 meters above sea level. This is a prime spot to pause and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

For a refreshing break, make a stop at the Ahornsee, a picturesque lake nestled along the route. Additionally, the Panoramaplattform Stilluptal offers a unique viewpoint to admire the geological features and glaciers of the region.
