This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Filzenkogel in the beautiful area of Mayrhofen. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 9.475 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1059 meters.

Starting at the trailhead, you will encounter the Gasthof Wasserfall, a lovely restaurant located just 63 meters from the start. As you continue on the trail, about 3.12 kilometers in, you'll reach the Filznalm, another restaurant where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the hike at 3.81 kilometers, you will come across the Ahornsee, a picturesque water feature perfect for a peaceful pause.

At the midway point of 4.74 kilometers, you will reach the Filzenkogel, the main destination of the hike offering breathtaking views of the area. Along the trail, there are several benches where you can rest and take in the beauty of the surroundings.

Although the trail is challenging, the stunning views and natural attractions along the way make it worth the effort.
