This challenging hiking route takes you along the Sentiero dismesso trail, located in a beautiful natural area with stunning views. The total distance of the hike is approximately 9.7 kilometers with an elevation gain of 440 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.
As you embark on the trail, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before starting your journey. Further along the trail, approximately 1.4 kilometers from the start, there is a picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.
Continuing on, you will reach a drinking water point at around 1.4 kilometers into the hike, followed by the Fontanino di Pejo spring just 0.02 kilometers away. As you near the halfway point, you will encounter the Rifugio Fontanino restaurant, providing a nice spot to rest and refuel before continuing on.
Further along the trail, you will find the Bivacco Malga Paludei shelter at approximately 4.74 kilometers from the start, offering a cozy place to take a break and shelter if needed. Additionally, there is a spring called Fontanino di Cellentino and an information point nearby to explore.
As you make your way back to the starting point, be sure to stop by the water point and picnic site for a final rest before concluding your hike.
