This difficult 8.543 km circular hiking route in Common Lane offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for hikers. The trail is relatively flat with no elevation gain, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting at the parking area near Brough Haven, hikers will embark on their journey through the scenic surroundings of Common Lane. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest such as picnic sites, bicycle parking areas, and water sources.

Approximately 4.17 km into the hike, you will find a water source that is conveniently located near the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and refill your water bottles before continuing on your adventure. Further along the trail at 3.32 km, there is another water source, albeit not directly on the trail.

For those driving to the trailhead, there are several parking options available, including a parking area with a fee around 0.94 km from the start and another without a fee at approximately 1.18 km from the beginning of the trail.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, you will encounter more points of interest, such as additional water sources at 3.86 km and 4.21 km from the start, as well as a picnic site located approximately 1.18 km from the beginning of the trail.
