Starting at the parking area near Refuge du Lou, you'll begin your journey through the picturesque alpine landscape. Along the way, you'll encounter several points of interest. About 2.59 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across Refuge du Lou, a mountain hut where you can take a break and enjoy the stunning views. Further along the trail, at around 5.57 kilometers, you'll find a water source, followed by the beautiful Lac de la Masse at 5.69 kilometers.
As you continue on, you'll pass by Grand Lac de Montfiot at 5.0 kilometers and Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères at 0.15 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the historic ruins at 1.65 kilometers and the Pointe de la Masse peak at 6.23 kilometers, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.
