Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Brancastello, a challenging and extremely difficult 36.5-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 2282 meters. This out-and-back route will take you approximately 14 hours to complete, so be prepared for a long day of hiking.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Lago Pietranzoni, a picturesque water feature located 1.24 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue onwards, you will come across Vado di Corno, a saddle point 6.66 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surrounding views.

Further along the trail, at the 7.67-kilometer mark, you will find Il Vaduccio, an information point where you can learn more about the area and its history. As you push on, you will eventually reach the highlight of the hike, Monte Brancastello, a peak that sits 18.26 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from the top are definitely worth the effort it took to get there.

If you're looking for a unique experience, make sure to visit Grotta dei Mulattieri, a cave entrance located 9.71 kilometers into the hike. It's a great opportunity to explore a different aspect of the area's natural beauty.
