This difficult 9.86-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning alpine landscape of Lac de la Blanche. Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the information point at L'Observatoire de Châteaurenard and the historic ruins of Ancienne mine de cuivre early on in the hike. As you continue, you will reach the beautiful Refuge de la Blanche and Lac de la Blanche, both offering a picturesque setting for a break.
The trail will lead you further to the Chapel of Clausis and La Moutière at 2475m, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. On the way back, you will pass by the information point of Blanche at 2500m before reaching the starting point.
Throughout the hike, make sure to stay hydrated and carry enough water as some of the points of interest are located a bit further away from the trail. Check the weather forecast before heading out and wear appropriate hiking gear.
