This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding La Petite Tête Noire. With a distance of approximately 12.5 kilometers and an elevation gain of 804 meters, this trail is rated as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenging but rewarding trek.

As you embark on this out-and-back route, you'll come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities for your convenience. As you make your way, you'll encounter the Observatory of Châteaurenard, providing fascinating information about the area. Further along, you'll reach the Ancient Copper Mine and the Ancient Marble Quarry, offering a glimpse into the region's history.

Around the midway point, you'll reach Lac de la Blanche, a beautiful alpine lake where you can take a moment to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Continuing on, you'll pass the Refuge de la Blanche, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before the return journey.
