Welcome to the hiking route to Sommet de Batailler!

This challenging 9.7-kilometer out-and-back trail will take you through stunning alpine scenery, starting at the parking area by Le Vis'o restaurant. As you begin your journey, you will pass Camping de Chanterane, a convenient campsite for those looking to spend the night in the area.

As you make your way along the trail, you will reach Pas du Chaï, a picturesque saddle located 4.28 kilometers from the starting point. The trail then leads you to Sommet de Batailler, a majestic peak standing at 4.85 kilometers from the start. Along the way, you'll pass by Chalet le Génépy and La Maison de Pierre la Cime, alpine huts offering shelter to weary hikers.

At 2.22 kilometers from the start, you will come across Canal Rouchas Frach 2160m, where you can learn about the area's history. Further along the trail, at 3.07 kilometers from the start, you'll find Bergerie du Clot du Loup 2330m, providing insight into local shepherd life.

As you continue your ascent, be sure to stay hydrated at the drinking water fountain located 0.32 kilometers from the start. Additionally, take a moment to admire the stunning views at the fountains located at the 1.27-kilometer mark.

Though the trail is challenging with an elevation gain of 806 meters, the breathtaking views at the summit make it all worth it. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this hike. Enjoy your adventure to Sommet de Batailler!
