This hiking route to Punta Picardiello is an extremely difficult trek covering a distance of 31.17 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1086 meters. The total duration for this challenging hike is approximately 9 hours and 55 minutes. Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to check the weather forecast and pack plenty of water and snacks.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the Casa de los Villacampa, a historic building located just 0.13 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue along the path, you will reach the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, an attractive attraction situated 9.93 kilometers into the hike.
Along the way, you will encounter a parking area at the start of the trail, making it convenient for hikers to leave their vehicles. Additionally, a water source can be found 1.21 kilometers from the initial point, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water bottles.
One of the highlights of this journey is reaching the Punta Picardiello peak at 15.59 kilometers from the start. The breathtaking views from the summit are well worth the challenging ascent.
