This challenging 8.187-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the beautiful Chapel Pantokrator on Mount Stavros. The area boasts stunning viewpoints, historical ruins, and natural caves along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by convenient parking areas before reaching a water source at 0.07 kilometers into the hike. As you ascend, you will encounter Kostas's Bar, a popular spot for hikers at 1.9 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will reach a cave entrance at 2.63 kilometers from the start, providing a unique opportunity to explore the natural surroundings. Be sure to stay hydrated and fill up your water supply at the drinking water station located at 1.84 kilometers into the hike.
At the 4.04-kilometer mark, you will arrive at the Chapel Pantokrator, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to appreciate the serene surroundings before continuing on.
