This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through a picturesque area with stunning views. The trail is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the Rifugio Fontana Mura.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Colle della Roussa saddle at around 7.13 kilometers from the start. This natural formation offers a great vantage point to take in the surrounding landscapes.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 8.29 kilometers from the start, you will come across a drinking water point for you to refill your water bottles and stay hydrated.
At 8.33 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Rifugio Fontana Mura, an alpine hut where you can take a break, refuel, and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Along the way, there are several points of interest such as wayside shrines, information spots, and more drinking water sources to keep you informed and refreshed throughout your trek.
With a total distance of 16.653 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1360 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
