This extremely difficult 17.513-kilometer circular hiking route starts at the parking area near the trailhead. The trail begins with a gradual ascent, passing by a drinking water point around 2 kilometers into the hike. As you continue, you will reach Colletto della Balma, a saddle point located 7.64 kilometers from the start. From there, the trail becomes more challenging as you make your way towards Punta del Lago Sud, a peak situated 8.67 kilometers from the start.
Along the way, you'll come across informational points providing insights into the natural and historic features of the area. Make sure to stay hydrated and refill your water bottle at one of the drinking water points on the trail.
As you push through the elevation gain of 1804 meters, the trail will lead you to Punta Loson, a peak located 6.9 kilometers from the start. Take your time to admire the panoramic views before heading towards Punta delle Plate, another peak situated 6.5 kilometers from the start.
