This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Hohe Munde Ostgipfel summit. The hike covers a distance of 9.703 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1323 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
Starting at the parking area (free of charge), you'll begin your journey, passing by the Rauthhütte alpine hut around 1.96 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a break and refuel before continuing on. Along the way, you'll also come across various benches where you can rest and take in the beautiful views.
At around 2.0 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a water source, perfect for refilling your bottles. As you continue onwards, at 2.03 kilometers, you'll come across an information point where you can learn more about the area and its surroundings.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 4.85 kilometers, you'll reach the Hohe Munde Ostgipfel peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Take some time to soak in the beauty before heading back.
Throughout the trail, you'll encounter several viewpoints, including Zugspitzblick and Leutaschtalblick, offering picturesque sights worth capturing. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear, as this challenging route will test your endurance.
