Welcome to the Rappenlöcher hiking route!

This circular trail offers a scenic adventure in the beautiful natural surroundings of the area. The 3.875-kilometer route has an elevation gain of 207 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all levels of hikers. The estimated duration for the hike is approximately 1 hour and 24 minutes.

Along the trail, you will encounter various points of interest (POIs) that add to the charm of the hike. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. Further along, approximately 1.91 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Kreithalm restaurant where you can take a break and enjoy some local cuisine.

As you continue your journey, you will find several benches scattered along the trail, providing you with opportunities to rest and take in the surrounding nature. Additionally, at about 1.91 kilometers into the hike, there is a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the landscape.

For history enthusiasts, there is a wayside cross located at the beginning of the trail and a peak called Katzenkopf approximately 1.86 kilometers into the hike.

Before embarking on this hike, make sure to bring an adequate supply of water and snacks. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast beforehand and wear appropriate hiking gear.
