This extremely difficult 14.842 km long hiking route takes you through a stunning alpine area with a total elevation gain of 978.0 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 5 hours and 52 minutes.
Starting at Pont du Clo, you will encounter various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find Chalet du Lignon, a restaurant where you can fuel up before your hike. Further along, at around 4.46 km from the start, you'll reach Refuge de Sales, an alpine hut where you can take a well-deserved rest. The hut is open from June to September and there is another alpine hut of the same name around the same distance away.
Midway through your journey, at approximately 5.99 km from the start, you'll come across Pierre Carrée, a notable rock formation. Additionally, at 7.19 km, there are natural water sources available for you to refill your water supply.
Towards the end of the trail, you will pass by Ruine de la Chapelle, a historic ruin located around 4.35 km from the start. As you near the end of the route, at 7.32 km from the start, you will reach a saddle known as Combe des Foges, offering a picturesque viewpoint of the surrounding area.
