This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Lac de Pormenaz. The trail is 6.93 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 547 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 58 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the parking area, situated right at the trailhead. Shortly after beginning, you'll reach Refuge Le Châtelet d'Ayères, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy the stunning views. Midway through the hike, you'll find yourself at Lac de Pormenaz, a picturesque lake offering a perfect spot to take a break and admire the scenery. Nearby, there is also a viewpoint at 3.22 kilometers from the start, providing a panoramic perspective of the surroundings.
Towards the end of the trail, you'll pass by Le Gouet and other information points that offer valuable details about the area. The endpoint of the hike is at the mesmerizing 99 - Sentier du Vuacheret, where you can take in the beauty of the landscape before heading back.
