This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Chemin des Noisetiers, offering a moderate level of difficulty with a distance of 6.603 kilometers and an elevation gain of 445 meters. It is an out-and-back trail, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the trailhead, allowing you easy access to the beginning of the trail. Roughly halfway through your hike, at a distance of 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will find a couple of water sources where you can refill your bottles and take a refreshing break.
At around 1 kilometer into the hike, you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Cascade de la Queue de Cheval waterfall, located less than a kilometer off the main trail. Additionally, there is a lovely viewpoint at the same location, providing a stunning panorama of the surrounding area.
Along the way, you will encounter several information points such as Chaumont, La Chassine, and La Confluence, which offer insights into the history and natural features of the region.
