This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Chemin du Vieux Redortiers. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 12.992 kilometers and an elevation gain of 217 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that requires some level of fitness.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Place de la République parking area, which is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail. About 6.5 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source and a spring to replenish your water supply.
As you continue further, you will encounter historic sites such as the Redortiers ruins and the Monument aux Morts memorial. These landmarks offer a glimpse into the region's rich history and are located off the main trail, so be sure to take a slight detour to explore them.
Midway through the hike, you will come across the Trou de la Carrière cave entrance, which adds a sense of adventure to your journey. Additionally, there are various dining options near the trail, including bars, restaurants, and fast food joints, where you can refuel and take a break.
At the end of the trail, you will find a fountain and benches where you can rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before making your way back.
