Hiking : Cima del Frate

This extremely difficult hiking route to Cima del Frate offers a challenging 12.5 km journey with an elevation gain of 1016 meters, taking approximately 5 hours and 26 minutes to complete. The trail starts at a parking area and leads you through a picturesque area with stunning views.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 4.87 km into the hike, you will come across the historic ruins of Forcella Fierollo. Continuing on, at 3.63 km, you will find the wilderness hut Malga Fierollo di sopra, a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along, at 2.66 km, you will reach the shelter Malga Fierollo di sotto, providing another opportunity to rest.

As you approach the midpoint of the hike, around 4.55 km, you will come across Lago di Bela Venezia di Sotto, a beautiful natural water feature. Just a bit further, at 4.54 km, you will find Lago di Bela Venezia di Sopra, another lovely lake located off the main trail.

For those interested in historical sites, at 6.27 km, the peak Cima del Frate offers a breathtaking view and a perfect spot for a photo opportunity. Additionally, along the trail, you will encounter informational points like the information post at 5.59 km and the wayside shrine at 3.33 km.
