Hiking : Poggio Caprile

This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you on a 13.375-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 329 meters in the beautiful area surrounding Poggio Caprile.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Belvedere Braccina viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. As you continue, you will reach Passo della Braccina, a natural saddle, and Passo di Valdonasso.

Midway through the hike, you will encounter Monte Guffone and Monte Della Fratta, two impressive peaks that are worth a visit. You can also take a break at Bivacco Fratta, a shelter along the trail where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings.

Towards the end of the hike, you will reach Poggio Penna, another peak with beautiful views, and finally, you will arrive at Poggio Caprile, where you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery before making your way back.

This challenging route is not for the faint of heart, so make sure to be prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
